What are Diagonal Bridges?

Diagonal Bridges are the Bridging Methods which move the player ultimately diagonal in the same direction, the direction can switch over the
course of the Bridge but in the end you will always come out in a Diagonal direction.

What types of Bridges does Diagonal Bridging include?

  1. Mainly Icy-Variants, like Double- and TripleIcy
  2. Some hold mechanics
  3. Some styles
  4. Methods with a generally diagonal direction

Icy Bridge/xqwo/Backwards Icy/Sideways Xqwo

Icy:

  • The most practical and basic Bridging Method
  • Easy to learn and usable in game
  • Beginner friendly and easy to get consistent at

How to do Icy:

Strafe from left to right, right when placing the left block, left when placing the right block, you can also do icy Nostrafe, which is without strafing, try to start with strong strafes and big headmovement and work your way to smaller strafes and smaller headmovement.

xqwo:

  • Very utile in Bridging in general
  • Fastest way to go Diagonal in Bedrock Bridging consistently
  • Easy once you got it down
  • A smal number of Players can do it

How to do xqwo:

Sprint and move your head minimally from the left to the right while timing Butterfly Clicks, the less headmovement, the faster

Backwards Icy:

  • Weird flex
  • Insanely much fun
  • Easy if you got it down once

How to do Backwards Icy:

Do a ~270 degree turn after every placed block, you can speed it up by tapping A or D every time you are facing front again.

Sideways xqwo:

  • Insanely difficult
  • Insanely impressive
  • Insanely useless
  • Combines a Bedrock and a Java mechanic

How to do Sideways xqwo:

Either hold A or D after positioning yourself about at the middle of the side you are facing, then let go of shift and flick your head slightly from the angle you would Bedrock Bridge at to the one where you place it on the side of the Block and repeat while timing Clicks.

Difficulity Rating: 2/10, 6/10, 3/10, 9/10

Inventor: 1cce, xqwo, xqwo, Rexpem

Recommended Clicking Method: Any/Timed Butterfly, Normal Click/Normal Click, Timed Butterfly/Normal Click

Double Icy/Backwards Double Icy

Double Icy:

  • Insanely difficult
  • Very Flickheavy
  • Impressive

How to do Double Icy:

Place 2 blocks, then flick insanely fast to the left to place another and repeat, alternative: do it like xqwo Icy (Requires a lot of CPS).

Backwards Double Icy

  • Very weird flex
  • Supre easy
  • Fun

How to do Diagonal Double Icy:

Place 2 blocks, then do a 270 degree turn, then place 1 block, do a 270 degree turn in the other direction and repeat.

Difficulity Rating: 7/10, 2/10

Inventor: nerd4bird, unknown

Recommended Clicking Method: Butterfly, Timed Butterfly/Normal Click

CPS: 9 - if optimal: 12-13, 5

Triple Icy/Backwards Triple Icy

Triple Icy:

  • Impressive if you can do it fast
  • Easier than Double Icy
  • Satisfying

How to do Backwards Triple Icy:

Place 2 blocks, flick less than 90 degree to the left, place another 2 blocks, flick less than 90 degree to the right, repeat, alternative: do it like xqwo Icy (Requires a lot of CPS).

Backwards Triple Icy

  • Very very weird flex
  • Easy
  • Satisfying

How to do Backwards Triple Icy:

Place 2 blocks, do a 270 degree turn, place another 2 blocks, do a 270 degree turn in the other direction.

Difficulity Rating:6/10, 2/10

Inventor: unknown, unknown

Recommended Clicking Method: Butterfly Click, Timed Butterfly, DoubleClick (if xqwo)/Normal Click

Inventor: qShelled

Recommended Clicking Method: Normal Click

CPS: 6-8

Diagonal Andromeda

  • Super satisfying
  • Fun to do
