Tips on Bridging in general

Butterfly Timing:

  • Butterfly timing helps with generating a consistent amount of CPS, which is difficult to hold with Normal Click
  • You Butterfly time by altering your fingers on the Mouse Button in a controlled rhythm of the CPS you need
  • Butterfly timing works on all devices, however is rather difficult on Controller

Learning:

  • It is beneficial to learn the basics of Bridging first, like:
    1. Icy
    2. L-Bridge
    3. Basic hold Variants
    4. V1, V2, maybe even v3
    5. Basic Downbridge
    6. Basic Staircase
  • Try to learn a certain Bridge consistently or semi-comsistently so you can re-do it in the future

Motivational tips

Setting goals:

  • Goals can include learning certain Bridges, certain Mechanics or reaching certain Tiers
    • Learning certain Bridges could Include learning a difficult Bridge or one that is required for a Tiertest
    • Learning certain Mechanics might be trying to master a lot of aspects of the Sneak Mechanic of Downbridging
  • Learning it for PVP purposes, like Utility methods, doing xqwo rushes

Getting inspiration:

  • Getting inspired by other Bridgers can be a massive source of Motivation
  • Searching for a Bridger whose gameplay/style you find impressive and searching inspiration from them
  • Some common Bridgers you could take inspiration from include:

    • xSolitari, inventor of lots of Bridges, former best Bridger
    • Badlands, best overall Bedrock Bridger, insane Pole skills and unique skills

Settings

Keyboard and Mouse:

  • If you have a big Mousepad, low Sensitivity to make Bridging more Precise
  • 2-3 well reachable Keybinds for Blockswitching
  • Easily reachable shift button, if you have small Hands, maybe concider using Capslock as shift

Controller:

  • Highest sensitivity possible since a lot of Bridges are based on quick turning
  • You can lower it for xqwo
  • For some people setting leftclick to the X-Button is more beneficial since its easier to jitter

Mobile:

  • Big buttons to make it possible to Butterfly
  • Sensitivity relative to screensize, big screen - low sensitivity, small screen - high sensitivity
